2025 Summer Camps

Campers will be singing from the hills and dancing through life this summer at Stagebugz! Join us for a magical, musical season to remember with programs for performers of all ages and experience levels. Camp days will be spent learning new skills through scenes, music, and dances from your favorite shows while playing games, making friends, and having lots of fun! As always, each student is guaranteed a line and a solo as we share what we learned for friends and family on the last day of camp.

June 2nd-6th, 9 AM-3 PM

Defy gravity this summer as you step into the world of the most "popular" musical event of the year! Performers will spend the week honing their skills while taking on their favorite characters, songs, and dances from this smash-hit show that tells the story of Oz like you've never seen before. Students will have opportunities to work on individual interests and goals while challenging themselves to explore advanced acting techniques, music theory, and Broadway-style choreography. Of course, there will be lots of games, team-building fun, and friendships that will last for good! Camp will conclude with a final share-formance of what we've learned for family and friends.

The Lion King

June 9th-13th, 9 AM-1 PM
Grades K-5
Columbine United Church

It'll be a hakuna matata kind of summer for Stagebugz's youngest performers! Join Simba and his crew of wildly loveable friends for an adventure into the Pride Lands as you sing and dance to this heartwarming tale based on Disney's imaginative coming-of-age film. With musical favorites like "I Just Can't Wait to Be King" and "Hakuna Matata," plenty of exciting characters, and themed games and activities to fill each day, this camp guarantees an unforgettable experience for lion cubs to warthogs alike! On the last day of camp, students will show off what they've learned in their very own 15-minute "shareformance" for friends and family.

The Sound of Music

June 23rd-27th, 9 AM-1 PM
Grades 2-9*
Columbine United Church
Stagebugz is alive with the sound of music this summer! When spirited postulate Maria is sent to work as a governess for the stern Captain von Trapp's seven children, she unexpectedly brings love and joy into the von Trapp household. Students will spend the week learning highlights from Rodgers and Hammerstein's classic musical through fun and fast-paced rehearsals and special topics workshops tailored towards their age group and interests. Camp will culminate in a 30-minute showcase for friends and family.

*Campers will spend the majority of each camp day rehearsing, learning, playing, and taking breaks in groups with their age peers. There will be two casts for our final showcase that  will be sent out with the cast list after the first day of camp, and siblings will be placed in the same cast unless otherwise requested. All characters are open to performers of all ages.
